Quote:   "I have purchased many half and three-quarter Thoroughbreds from NAERIC-member equine ranchers.  These horses have good minds and bodies.  I have placed them in fox hunting barns, hunter and three day event barns.  They make first-class sport horses for the American market."

We purchased Castle Rock from Cancade Farms. He is a lovely 3 yr old Percheron/Tb gelding.  He was one of the easiest horses to start, very willing to except anything new that was asked of him.  Because of this easy attitude we did not hesitate on taking him on a few hunts (third field).  He is steady, never gets excited, even in a group of 20 horses all cantering, he just picked a spot and kept up with the field.  He is pictured here at closing hunt with the Santa Ynez Valley Hunt.

When his new owners came to look at him, they had a long list of needs!  Mother wanted a horse that she could start taking dressage lessons on, the 12 yr old daughter is a bit timid around horses, she wants a western pleasure horse, the youngest daughter and bravest of them all. . . . wants to do everything, mostly jumping.  All three riders rode him and got along great.  Castle Rock will be totally loved and I am sure he will take care of all their needs, they could not ask for a better natured horse.
